Minna Tarkka has worked as producer, educator and curator of media art and participatory culture. She has been active in establishing Finnish arts organisations and university programmes relating to media art at the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Art and Design (Aalto University), where she also was professor at the Media Lab. As director of m-cult, she has been directed projects and festivals on collaborative/public/media art, as well as the CAPP activities in Helsinki. In 2017, she was awarded the State Prize for Media Art for her pioneering work and the recent collaborative commissions in Maunula.
