Carl Anders Safstrom
Ph.D. Carl Anders Säfström, is at present Professor of Educational Research at Social Science Institute Maynooth University. His latest position before joining Maynooth University was a Baltic Sea Foundation Chair of Education at Södertörn University, Sweden. Säfström has also been President of Nordic Education Research Association (NERA) and publishes extensively within the fields of: philosophy of education; educational theory and policy; education and democracy; teaching and learning; as well as on teacher education. He is currently working on a book for Routledge on The Pedagogy of Equality and the Democratic Citizen in a Time of Unrest; Critique and Strategies for the Future.
His Keynote for ECER 2017 is to appear in European Educational Research Journal in June: Livable life, Educational Theory and the Imperative of constant change.
